A limiting belief is a state of mind, a conviction, or belief that you have been conditioned to think to be true about yourself that limits you.

They enable you to doubt yourself and your abilities, which has been conditioned or learnt giving you a false sense of self.

Limiting Beliefs include;

  • "I am not worthy of being loved.”
  • “I am not smart/pretty/talented enough.”
  • “I could never open my own business.”
  • “I don't have enough time to put myself first”
  • "I’m not good enough”
  • “Who am I to think I can be successful?”
  • “I should avoid failure at all costs.”
  • “I should never question authority.”
  • “I’m too old to study again.”
  • “No one will want to date me because I’m divorced.”
  • “I’ll never find love.”
  • “I’m damaged”
  • "Who’d want me?”
  • “It’s too late to try anything new”
  • “All romantic relationships end in heartbreak.”

Maybe you always have a “but” to negate the forward momentum which propels you backwards keeping you stuck
